Biking 2008

In March and April I went back to Australia, this time to explore New South Wales. However, the first night was spent in Mount Tamborine, Queensland, 70 km south if Brisbane, where we were treated to a spectacular sunset.

Still heading south through Queensland. A roadside break with Brett and Dave in Rathdowney on Good Friday.
After a weekend in Sydney, heading west on Bells Line of Road, in the Blue Mountains between Richmond and Lithgow.

On 31 May I had a day trip in the Black Forest with colleagues from work. The mid-afternoon stop was at the Wutachschlucht (Wutach Gorge), a favourite meeting place for bikers.

In June I toured the Ariège region of France with Brett and Dave. This shot was taken on the journey down, at the Viaduc de Garabit, near St Flour. The 564-meter long viaduct was built by Eiffel from 1882 to 1884, and the experience he gained led him to build the Eiffel Tower five years later for the Paris Exhibition of 1889.
